Product Overview
Wright’s Stain is a classic Romanowsky-type differential stain used for the microscopic examination of peripheral blood smears, bone marrow aspirates, and cytological samples. It provides detailed, multicolor staining that enables identification and evaluation of white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets—essential for diagnosing hematologic disorders, infections, and morphological abnormalities.
Composed of eosin Y and methylene blue dyes, Wright’s Stain differentially binds to acidic and basic components of blood cells. Nuclei stain purple, cytoplasm ranges from blue to gray, and red blood cells appear pink to orange. This crisp contrast allows for rapid and reliable cellular assessment in both clinical and educational laboratories.
